Renewing Classical Education Newsletter

New Episodes on The Christopher Perrin Show, Philosophia, and Other News!

Thank you for being a subscriber to Renewing Classical Education!

This week a number of exciting releases have come out, the first being an episode on my own podcast, The Christopher Perrin Show. Listen to a preview of the episode above! Episode 06, “What Does Jerusalem Have to Do with Athens?” was released this morning to TrueNorth.fm and all of our other podcast listening platforms. Just search “The Christopher Perrin Show” on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you enjoy listening! In this episode, I discuss how generations of philosophers encounter the classical tradition and engage with the sacred inheritance of great writings.

Additionally, on Tuesday a new episode of the Philosophia podcast, hosted by Dr. David Schenk, was released. Dr. Schenk has been a professor at Messiah University for over 20 years and he now offers his gentle but hard-hitting analysis of the classical tradition of education and philosophy as it engages contemporary culture and thought in his new podcast, Philosophia. In Episode 06, “Chronological Snobbery and the Primacy of Personhood,” Dr. Schenk addresses the desire for individualism in a modern culture that encourages conformation and the habitual, chronological snobbery that classically-trained individuals can fall prey to. Listen on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or any of your favorite listening platforms!

Leave a comment with your thoughts on my newest episode or with what you would like to see me cover next!

Thanks,

Christopher Perrin
