Thank you for being a subscriber to Renewing Classical Education!

This week a number of exciting releases have come out, the first being an episode on my own podcast, The Christopher Perrin Show. Listen to a preview of the episode above! Episode 07, “The Resurgence of Classical Education Among African Americans” was released this morning to TrueNorth.fm and all of our other podcast listening platforms. Just search “The Christopher Perrin Show” on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you enjoy listening! In this episode, I discuss the earliest classical school for African Americans and the effect it had on the resurgence of the classical movement today.

Additionally, on Monday a new episode of the Philosophia podcast, hosted by Dr. David Schenk, was released. Dr. Schenk has been a professor at Messiah University for over 20 years and he now offers his gentle but hard-hitting analysis of the classical tradition of education and philosophy as it engages contemporary culture and thought in his new podcast, Philosophia. In Episode 07, “The Theories of Ethics,” Dr. Schenk explores what drives the error in our moral thinking today and questions how the metaphysics of ethics have changed over the course of history. Listen on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or any of your favorite listening platforms!

As you can see, TrueNorth.fm has had a number of exciting releases this week and it includes episodes on Classical Crossroads (hosted by Dr. Angel Parham), The Principia Podcast (hosted by Dr. Brian Williams), and Reclaiming Our Canon (hosted by Dr. Anika Prather). Each of these podcasts plays an important role in the emerging movement of classical education and the hosts, all of them being professors that I greatly admire and have personal relationships with, are key leaders in the renewal of classical education across the nation.

Leave a comment with your thoughts on my newest episode or with what you would like to see me cover next!

Thanks,

Christopher Perrin
